Welcome to the Holy Cross Class of 1969 Web site. We are excited about launching this initiative with the help of Mike Kennedy, Class of 1984 whose business, Competitive Innovations, based in McLean, VA, designs web solutions for people. He and his team have already done the regional club sites for Boston, Cape Cod, New York, and Washington, DC as well as several class web sites.

This site will continue to be a work in progress. In the short term, it will be an efficient way to post class info for everyone. Because of access and security issues, we will play a gatekeeper role in order to place some necessary privacy controls on the system. For example, rather than post a directory of all classmate email addresses, we will forward that to anyone who asks for it. Eventually we may be able to install an ID and password system so that direct class access is possible. Some day soon we would like to see the college adopt a system of direct interface between the college alumni system and a unified set of class web sites.

For example, there could be massive savings for the college if everyone who wanted to receive college news electronically, could do so, and only the remaining population would receive paper copy. It would be faster, cheaper, and probably preferred by most alums. It certainly would be more efficient for class agents and chairs. With the launch of this site, we will begin posting green slips, class letters and responses to class letters at this web site, as well as periodically updating class statistics for the annual fund.
